Bob Alexander Memorial Triathlon

Three boys and three girls from Year 6 competed in the 28th Annual Preston Schools’ Triathlon.

The Competition is named after a Preston Teacher, Bob Alexander who tragically died in a boating accident.

The event, which took place at Fulwood Leisure Centre and Fulwood Academy, comprises of three disciplines: a 25 metre swim; a 500 metre run and Gym Tests (Sit-ups, Speed Bounce, Ball Throws and Bench Twists).

Our team competed excellently and were consistent throughout all the events.

We patiently waited for the results and were delighted to find out that we had won the competition for the first time in Sherwood’s history.
