Good morning again 2AH!
Wow! Miss Hough and Mrs Raw have been blown away with how hard you are all working at home. We are both really enjoying reading your own Mudpuddle Farm stories and how the animals have encountered problems and how they have solved these. We have also enjoyed seeing you practise your phonics with the /ear/ grapheme and other alternative graphemes that can make the same sound. Well done for ordering some tricky numbers from smallest- largest and largest- smallest. We have loved seeing you exploring different microhabitats and which minibeasts live there! 🤩
For Wednesday's tasks, there will be an English, Maths and phonics tasks as normal. As it is Wednesday, we usually take part in our whole Guided Reading sessions in the afternoons. We would like the children to still keep this up if possible. Underneath, the Guided Reading has been split into 4 different Powerpoints. You will find the text on these PowerPoints.
1. Pre Read
2 and 3. Read (together)
4. Independent Read (where the children read on their own)
5. A task which relates to the text.
We have had to split the powerpoint into 5 sections in order for it to be uploaded to the website. The children are familiar with the order of the sections and this is the order in which Guided reading works best. More information can be found on the Guided Reading section on the tasks sheet.
