Welcome to Year 5’s Remote Learning Page
Good Morning Parents of 5KS,
During your child's period of self isolation, Mrs Sheppard and Mrs Millar will support your child's learning from home. Mrs Sheppard can be contacted by emailing year5@sherwood.lancs.sch.uk
Children, please complete your Remote Learning Tasks in your new Remote Learning exercise book. Please visit this page daily for daily tasks, messages from your teachers and from School.
Tasks may include online activities, watching an online video or a paper based exercise.
A good place to start this week is to complete your homework set on Friday.
Online Learning Platforms
We use two online learning platforms at Sherwood:
Espresso – a video rich, online learning platform. Used for learning across the whole curriculum.
Mathletics – a Mathematics based learning platform.
Your child’s login details for these online platforms can be found in your child's Home/School Diary. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you child experiences any difficulties accessing this content.
We invite you to share your child’s completed tasks with us by emailing:
year5@sherwood.lancs.sch.uk
You could email pictures of completed tasks or photographs of pupils engaged in a particular task. This is a positive way to keep your child engaged throughout this period and provides a valuable assessment/feedback opportunity for us.
