Review of Jonah a Fishy Tail by Amaan

EXPERIENCE THE WHALE TAIL WITH THE WELL-KNOWN PRODUCTION JONAH

If you think you know a fishy tail, then think again…

The well-known biblical story Jonah has turned into a real-life production from Year 1 and 2. There is love and hate as Jonah receives a message from god. Jonah does not obey him and is swallowed by a whale. Will he get out of the whale or not?

Jonah is played by the electrifying Eesa. The two pirates from Ninerva (Leg-it and Peg-it) are played by James and Harvey. They all played their parts exceptionally well and to a high standard. The singing and dancing was excellent also.

Not a lot of productions have songs like A Spanish Holiday. Many songs are happy and upbeat and will make you sing them in your sleep.

This toe-tapping finger-clapping performance is just great. If you haven’t seen it, rush to see Jonah a Fishy Tail now!

Review of Busy Busy Bethlehem by Irum

EXPERIENCE THE AMAZING TRUE FEELING OF CHRISTMAS WITH THE WONDERFUL MUSICAL BUSY BUSY BETHLEHEM

If you think you know how busy Bethlehem is, then think again…

Adapted from the well-known story of Christmas, this wonderful story turns the classic biblical story of Christmas upside down to reveal a more humorous story. The tale is all about a Roman Soldier, who is really good and loves to be organised. However, this doesn’t come in handy as Mary and Joseph arrive late. But as soon as a smile was given to her, everything changed.

Now touring the country, Busy Busy Bethlehem is a musical that hardly remains unchanged. But amazing storyline, charismatic actors and mesmerising costumes aside, there is one thing that the audience connects with more than anything else – the songs. From catchy songs like ‘Come Be Counted’ to songs like ‘Jesus is born’, which is emotive and saddening yet joyful.

Humorous, moving, emotive and really entertaining. If you have not yet gone to see it, I recommend you to go. But be warned, you WILL want to go back!

COMING TO THE STAGE IN SHERWOOD IS THE EXTRORDINARY,HUMOROUS, BUSY BUSY BETHLEHEM

If you think you know all about the famous Christmas story, then think again

Busy Busy Bethlehem is a humorous story full of happiness which was acted by Sherwood Foundation pupils. Bringing it all alive , Mary is performed by the amazing Robyn and Joseph is acted by the wonderful James. Alongside Mary and Joseph, the confident and funny Roman soldier is Sophie and the bright and shining star is Eliza. Also the Shepherd [who looks after sheep] is Tom. All these people make what Busy Busy Bethlehem is all about.

This amazing story is all about the wonderful journey of Jesus’s birth! Mary, who was only in her teens, got a message from the angels that she was going to have a baby - a wonderful one too. Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem to have the baby. Come watch if you want to find out if Jesus is born in a cosy place in Bethlehem.

The staging is brilliant and so lively and colourful . Also the acting is superb and so confident. The costumes are bright and lovely which brings it alive !
