Interfaith Week 2022

Lesson: Religious education

This year we have used Interfaith Week at Sherwood to teach our children about the shared custom of head covering across many faiths. We have had two Faith Stations where children have been able to look at and learn about a range of religious head coverings. There has been lots of wonderful discussion across school about the differences and similarities between faiths.

We have been fortunate to have lots of lovely parent volunteers come into school to talk to children about their own faith and customs and this has provided the children an exellent opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences. Staff members have also led assemblies to talk about their faith where children have asked very thoughtful and respectful questions.
