Donated Books reach Uganda

Each year, as our books on our shelves are replenished, we donate books through a Charity called books2africa.

This week we received first hand confirmation that our donations have arrived in Uganda. Thank you to Uganda Airlines Pilot, Pete, for news of his purchase at a book stall in Uganda. It's so wonderful to know that our love for reading is shared with international friends. 

Dear Fulwood Primary School,

I am from UK but living and working as one of the pilots for Uganda Airlines. Recently I went to a market where they were selling books of all sorts and wanted to buy some for my twins aged 2. I saw Witch on a Broom and knew they would like it. It was a pleasant surprise when I looked inside to see that it was one of your old school books! I just thought you might be interested in that it ended up in Kampala, Uganda!
