Tahira Chohan

My name is Tahira Chohan and my children are currently in Yr4 and Yr6.  My day job is in Housing Policy and I believe these skills will transfer well to the role of school governor, in particular supporting the school to align with both national and local strategies. 

I also hold experience of monitoring project budgets, recruitment, procurement, programme management and supporting vulnerable families.  Additionally, I hold strong interpersonal skills and can converse with individuals at all levels as well as keen eye on attention to detail – both skill sets I feel will be invaluable to the school governance team. 

Sherwood Primary is a fantastic school with an outstanding OFSTED rating.  I’m local to the area and would like to help the school continue to improve and develop.  My interest is to ensure Sherwood continues to provide a nurturing environment for all children, helping each child to reach their full potential throughout their early years school journey.
