Lancashire Cricket Final Runners Up

The Sherwood Cricket team finished runners up in the Lancashire Cricket Finals. After an unbeaten run in the group the stage we progressed to the quarter finals against Moorside. It was an extremely close game with Sherwood winning by 4 runs. The semi finals beckoned and with some excellent bowling we progressed into the final against St James' from Orell.  We batted first and scored an incredible 93 runs. Unfortunately, despite some fantastic fielding we came up short and they scored 98. A fantastic effort from everyone. A huge thank you to all the children who took part who represented Sherwood brilliantly and to the parents who came to support.
