International Mother Language Day

Lesson: Languages

This Wednesday was 'International Mother Language Day'. We had an assembly to share the children's experiences of languages and discuss the origins of our families, as we are extremely lucky at Sherwood to have children with a wide range of cultural backgrounds. We also shared lots of interesting fun facts about languages worldwide (click on the file below).

We are currently in the process of setting the children up on Duolingo - a fantastic resource to support learning a new language.
