Where is Preston Docks?
The children have been exploring the location of Preston docks. We first needed to know what continent, country, county, city, area. We then found it on our wonderful large scale maps of Preston. We were shocked to learn that the course of the river Ribble was diverted to build the docks during the Industrial Revolution.
