Year 5 Wednesday 7th October 2020

Happy Wednesday Year 5!

We are now three quarters of our way through home learning, so I know I'm looking forward to getting back together next week. I know I have missed being a part of the 'At school' team although we are still part of the Sherwood community it's not the same as being able to see others, even at a distance. I have been extremely proud of the way you have gone about the home learning tasks and look forward to it continuing when we are back in class.

Our assembly theme for this week is friendship but will also include the theme of democracy as it is that time of year when our Year 6's look for your support in attaining the role of House captains. Children in school will watch campaign videos and make decisions on who they wish to become captains for their respective houses. As we are not in school we have been asked to choose children in Year 6 who we look up to as role models. If you can have a think and send me your choice of children you believe will represent you as House captain. Revisit the short video entitled 'Little people', thinking about friends and friendship and how we might support one another in these times.

Don't forget to send the work you complete to me on a daily basis so that I can mark, asses and give feedback on the tasks you work on hard to complete. I look forward to receiving it daily.

Enjoy the tasks set for today,

Mr Stanton
