Digital Literacy

Sherwood pupils are taught to use technology safely and respectfully, keeping personal information private. Pupils are taught to identify where to go for help and support, and when they have concerns about content or contact on the internet or other online technologies. At Sherwood, we deliver digital literacy lessons from EYFS - Year 6 to support our pupils in progressively developing the knowledge they need to stay safe online.

We use a toolkit called Project EVOLVE which is based on UKCIS framework “Education for a Connected World” (EFACW) that covers knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes across eight strands of our online lives from early years right through to eighteen.
