School Uniform
Orders for Sherwood PE Tracksuits (Y3-6 only) can be placed through ParentPay/School. Please see the Tracksuit Size guide below and state your size requirement in the comments box.
Our School PTA also run a 'Nearly New' shop, which stocks high quality school and PE uniform. As well as a great way to save money, this also supports with sustainability, re-using rather than throwing away; a great addition to our green agenda. Autumn and Spring Term Uniform for all pupils
- Royal blue Sherwood School V-necked sweatshirt or cardigan
- Grey long or short trousers
- Grey pinafore dress or grey skirt
- White shirt or blouse
- Red and royal blue tie
- Footwear - Black shoes. In the interest of Health and Safety, boots, strappy sandals and trainers are not allowed, unless for medical reasons.
Summer Term Uniform (optional)
- Blue gingham dress
- White polo shirts and short grey trousers
Book bags
Children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 require a blue Sherwood School book bag. Children in Year 3-6 are welcome to use a small rucksack to carry their books and belongings.
Physical Education Uniform EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2
All children in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 require a PE kit in School every day. It should be kept in a material pump bag with your child’s name clearly labelled on the outside.

- A plain navy tracksuit for colder weather (Year 1 and Year 2 only)
Physical Education Uniform Year 3 - Year 6
All children in Key Stage 2 are asked to attend School in their PE Kit on the day(s) of Physical Education.
All pupils in Key Stage 2 require:
- Sherwood School tracksuit (available to order through ParentPay)
- Sherwood School White and Blue Contrast PE t-shirt
- Royal blue shorts
- Pair of Trainers
Children in Y3-Y6 have the option of wearing sport grip socks for dance or gymnastics lessons in KS2. Children participating in competitive dance and gymnastics events may be required to perform in bare feet. Grip socks must be designed for sport, dance or yoga and in keeping with uniform colours: black, white, grey, red or blue. Slipper socks are not appropriate.
Labels
Please ensure that your child’s name is entered on all items of clothing including pumps and school shoes.
Watches
Pupils are invited to wear a simple analogue or digital watch. We please ask that pupils do not wear Fitbits, iPhone watches or other forms of watches for school.
Jewellery
In the interest of Health and Safety, jewellery (including earrings) is not allowed. Only in exceptional circumstances, with agreement from the headteacher, can jewellery be worn in School (for example medi-alert and religious artefacts). If a child does come into school wearing jewellery they will be asked to remove it. The teachers will not accept responsibility for removing any item of jewellery. The children must be able to remove them independently.
The school does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of any jewellery or personal adornments worn.
Water Bottles
All children are requested to bring a full water bottle into school each day. We request that your child's water bottle is no larger than 600ml in size and is clear/tinted coloured plastic with a sports cap lid. AirUp bottles, spray mist bottles or screw cap aluminium bottles are not suitable for School. Children are able to refill water bottles if required throughout the day.
