Asthma Care

At Sherwood, our Asthma Care Policy outlines our support for the effective care and monitoring of children with Asthma at Sherwood Primary School.

Our Asthma Care leader is Mrs J Lumb (Headteacher) who is supported by Mrs K Pike in monitoring provision for Asthma care at Sherwood.

We value the support of our parents and carers in ensuring that children with asthma have the support they need to access and participate in our full curriculum.

At Sherwood, we require parents and carers to provide the following:

• A clear plastic box with a lid, clearly labelled with your child's name.

• An inhaler - in date, clearly labelled in the prescription box.

• A spacer - clearly labelled with your child's name.

• A completed purple asthma care plan, outlining the required dosage and triggers for your child's asthma

We will provide:

• A blank asthma care plan

• An Asthma Care record - this will be completed when your child's inhaler is administered.
