Katie Sheppard

I have been a teacher at Sherwood for three years and feel privileged to be part of a successful school team, guided by a dedicated governing body. I am delighted to have been elected as a co-opted governor on the finance team, in addition to being the nominated governor for SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development.)

Prior to my teaching career, I worked in the private sector, primarily as a Store Manager and then Area Manager for large retail and hospitality brands. Towards the end of my business led career, I enhanced my leadership skills and strategic awareness through completing a PG Cert in HR Leadership, leading to my role as a Regional HR Business Partner. 

I believe that this breadth of experience, in addition to being a part of the Sherwood team, will enable me to be a valued member of the governing body, supporting Sherwood School and all of its team and pupils.
