School Day

As a School we operate a staggered drop off and collection system to allow all children to access handwashing facilities on entry and exit from School. All children attend School for the same period of time each day.

Our School day for each child is 6 hours and 35 minutes. This equates to 32 hours 55 minutes each week.

Staggered Arrival

Our children arrive and depart from School in three groups. This supports our handwashing routine for all children and a staggered arrival on and off site. 

Group 1 8.45-8.50am: Arrival and handwashing for pupils in EYFS, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 

Group 2 8.50-8.55am: Arrival and handwashing for pupils in EYFS and siblings who do not fall into Group 1 or Group 3 (for example: A family with a pupil in Y2 and Y5)

Group 3 8.55-9am: Arrival and handwashing for pupils in Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 

A member of staff will supervise the children washing their hands and entering school from the playground and a second member of staff will supervise children through our cloakrooms. The school bell will ring at 9am, indicating the start of the school day and registration will take place in the classrooms. School gates will be locked shortly after 9am. If your child arrives to school after this time, we request that an adult accompanies them to the main entrance to be signed in.

Our children depart from School in three groups. This supports our handwashing routine for all children and a staggered departure on and off site. 

Group 1 3.20pm: Departure and handwashing for pupils in EYFS, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 

Group 2 3.25pm: Departure and handwashing for pupils in EYFS and siblings who do not fall into Group 1 or Group 3 (for example: A family with a pupil in Y2 and Y5)

Group 3 3.30pm: Departure and handwashing for pupils in Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5
