Bird Hide Building in Mason Wood
This morning, Year 4 went bird hide building in Mason Wood. We enjoyed exploring the wood and found lots of species of plants, trees and birds. We particularly liked the smell of wild garlic and listening to the morning's bird song. After venturing across the brook, we found a perfect spot at the top of a hill to build our hides. It was lovely to see how well the children worked together to build their hides. Once the hides were built, we crept inside and started bird watching - we spotted wood pigeons, a magpie, a robin and a few blackbirds.
Back in school, we recorded our adventures in our field journals.
