Colours in Nature

Lesson: EYFS

This week the children in EYFS have been reading 'Elmer', a story all about a colourful, patchwork elephant. In our Forest School session we talked about the different colours we find in nature at different times of the year. We noticed that there was a lot of green in nature at this time of the year and learnt all about the word 'shade' as we looked at the different shades of green. We then used a special colour chart to explore the colour of items we could find in our school grounds.
