Children's Parliament
Ahead of this week's COP26 in Glasgow, the Children's Parliament met over TEAMS on Friday 29th October to debate important issues affecting children across the world. We are proud to announce that two of our Year 6 pupils, Siri and Mustafa, were chosen to represent schools across Lancashire at the parliamentary debate. Issues that were debated included: renewable energy; deforestation; children's mental health; home learning and online education; and future employment opportunities. The children were brilliant - they listened carefully to the ideas posed by others and made thoughtful responses to the issues. A special mention goes to Mustafa, who was selected from over 250 children taking part, to present his views on What employment opportunities do you see when robots seem to take over everything? Please see Mustafa's response below.
Well done children - we are extremely proud of the way that you represented our school and the children of Lancashire.
