Maxwell Green
I attended Sherwood between 1995 to 2002 and have always held such fond memories of my time here, so when the chance to become a governor arose, I applied and was elected as a co-opted governor in March 2019. I have lived in the area my whole life and wanted the chance to contribute to school life.
I am a City Councillor for Sharoe Green Ward and enjoy having the chance to help people and improve the area where the school is situated, and also the City, alongside being a governor. I am also researching for my PhD and teach at Lancaster University.
At Sherwood, I am the governor for Safeguarding, plus I am the Chair for the Health, Safety, and Safeguarding committee; it is such an exciting and rewarding role and something that ensures the children have a safe and happy environment to learn and grow.
