SILVER ARTSMARK

We are delighted to share the news that The Arts Council have awarded the SILVER ARTSMARK to Sherwood for our work and commitment to arts and cultural education for all children. We are delighted to share this feedback from the Arts Council with you: ‘Sherwood Primary School is clearly committed to art and culture and engaging with the Arts is having tangible results on pupils and staff. Pupils access an established range of experiences with local artists and arts organisations in and out of school which leads to showcasing within school and the immediate community. It’s great to see that the pandemic hasn’t stopped your arts engagement which continued through digital engagements, and a clear sense of what is (and isn’t) achievable online. You have seen the confidence engendered by music CPD on staff, and it is great that you can track this through to better pupils' attainment. It is really lovely to hear pupil parental voices through the application, it really brings it to life. Well done, congratulations and good luck for the future.'
