Throughout the teaching of phonics, your child will encounter words that they 'cannot sound out'.  These are what we call 'TRICKY WORDS'.  Your child must learn to read and spell the tricky words within the phase they are working.  If you want to know what phase your child is working in, speak to your class teacher.
