Edith Rigby Visits Year 6

Today, Year 6 had a special visitor from the past - Edith Rigby. Edith told the children all about her life and brought along newspaper articles, photographs, propaganda posters and artifacts for them to explore. The children had many thoughtful questions to ask and learnt a lot about the life of Preston's famous suffragette. They enjoyed playing a board game and taking part in a debate, to further explore the motives and actions of the suffragettes who campaigned for 'Votes for Women'.
