EYFS enjoy World Book Day

Class: Foundation Year: 2022 - 2023

The children have had a wonderful day, celebrating all things 'book related', dressed as our favourite book characters.  First, we introduced ourselves and our characters in our Key Worker groups.  Next we visited the Book Swap and all chose a new book, then we took part in a book character scavenger hunt and finally drew ourselves dressed as our characters, in our busy books.  This afternoon, we have loved watching the EYFS staff retell the story 'The Day the Crayons Quit', all dressed as a different coloured crayons.  Then we took part in a 'Book Picnic' with the children from KS1 and 2.  We ended the day, with an animated version of 'Room on the Broom' and then finally got to meet our new class Reading Pets, who will be coming home with different children each day, to enjoy a book at home.
