EYFS Release their Butterflies

Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Foundation Year: 2022 - 2023

The children were very excited this week to see that lots of their butterflies had hatched from their cocoons.  They have enjoyed watching the change from tiny little caterpillars nearly 4 weeks ago, into beautiful butterflies today.  This afternoon we took the butterfly net onto the field to release the butterflies into the wild.  The children loved having the opportunity to handle some of the butterflies, before they all eventually flew off into the trees.
