The children really enjoyed their yogi yoga session in the hall this morning! First of all they learnt how to breathe in slowly through their noses and then out through their mouths whilst sitting in the lotus pose. They then worked through a yoga flow sequence starting in mountain pose, moving on to plank, cobra and downward dog. At the end of their practise, they lay down on the mat and had to lie still and keep their eyes closed whilst they listened to relaxing music. We all felt very calm afterwards!
