How are fossils formed?

The children had lots of fun this afternoon learning all about fossils and how they are made. The children made their very own pretend fossils using plasticine to represent the sea bed, dog biscuit to represent the animal, salt water to represent the water and kitchen roll to represent the sediments, they worked well and explored the process of how fossils are formed.
