It’s all in the sauce

Class: Year 5 Year: 2023 - 2024

As part of Year 5's ongoing DT programme this term, we have been looking at a variety of popular Bolognese sauces this afternoon. The children have all tasted each one, rating them for taste, appearance and suitability as a healthy meal. They have also looked at and investigated similarities and differences between the sauces before searching for ways to improve the popularity of each one. This will be taken forward to future sessions where the children will, in small groups, produce their own recipe which will eventually result in them cooking their own version.
