Oracy in History
Lesson: History
Class: Year 4 Year: 2024 - 2025
Year 4 have been using their oracy skills to learn about Anglo-Saxon villages. The children each had a fact to learn, memorise and teach to their peers. They had to listen very carefully to the information they were being told, and recall their group's six key facts to become an expert in their allocated aspect of village life: settlements; food and feasting; farming and hunting; daily life; and homes. They then shared their expert knowledge with children from other groups. The next step is to produce a collaborative group magazine article.
