PE and Physical Development in EYFS

Lesson: EYFS

Class: Foundation Year: 2024 - 2025

EYFS have been really enjoying their PE lessons in the hall.  They are learning many fundamental movement skills each week and they are developing fantastic listening skills through playing games.  The children are using the space well in the hall to travel safely and independently in a range of ways.  This week, the class began by thinking of as many ways to make tall, short, fat and thin shapes, balancing and moving on a range of body parts.  They then split into groups, rotating around the hall to balance, climb and travel along apparatus or to begin learning how to throw underarm with a beanbag.  The children are developing excellent use of space and confidence in travelling, which we will build on each week.  Well done EYFS!
