Science Week in Year 5

Class: Year 5 Year: 2024 - 2025

There have been lots of visitors to Year 5 this week during Science week so firstly thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to come and speak to Year 5 about how Science is involved in their work. We began with a visit from a paramedic who talked to the children about their role before showing them around an ambulance. In addition to this visit we also had a Respiratory surgeon visit on Thursday before the week was rounded off with a visit from a Positive Mindset coach. The children all thoroughly enjoyed the visits and learnt so much through the week.

With the theme of Adaptation over the week the children also took part in a live lesson presented by the NFU looking at adaptation of animals specifically in farming. 

A fantastic week which has been both interesting and informative. Well done Year 5.
