Last Friday, Sherwood was very fortunate to hold an author event on behalf of UCLAN Publishing for our Year 5 and 6 children. The successful author, Georgia Byng, was invited to come and talk to the children about her books and what inspires her to write. Each child received a gorgeous signed copy of her new book, Albi the Glowing Cow Boy, to enjoy at home and to add to their personal library. 

Our Reading Champions had their own personal 'Meet and Greet' with Georgia. She asked them about their role as Reading Champions and gave them some ideas on how they could further inspire their peers to read. Well done children - Georgia was very impressed by you all!
